AreaInspector is a total property inspection solution aimed at inspectors who want to maximize their time with an easy to use solution to schedule and track inspections, create customized inspection checklists, and create high quality reports for their customers that they can deliver either online, or in printed form.
We started our development by looking at our competitors. There are a lot of different inspection systems available to use – but for the most part, they all lack in the three main features that make any home inspection software worth its salt:

Other inspection systems are tied down to your PC with clumsy outdated software you have to install. When you do finally get it to work, you practically have to have a degree in computer science to figure out how to use it! Some systems offer custom reports, while other offer mobile inspections, but none offer everything that an inspector needs to run a business and are easy to use.
AreaInspector was built with the needs of the inspector in mind. Before we even wrote a line of programming code, we sat down with professional, certified home inspectors to find out what we needed to make the inspection process as seamless and easy as can be. As a result, our system does everything it needs to do, and nothing it doesn’t. Login to our system to collect customer information right when they call, schedule your inspections with our intuitive scheduling system, and then either take your TabletPC with AreaInspector to the home site, or use your internet-enabled laptop to perform the inspection. Once you’re done, you can print the report on the spot, or send a link to your customer for them to go to your AreaInspector custom website to download. We make it simple.

When you’re performing a property inspection, you use your expertise of building construction and quality to provide your best subjective analysis on its condition. Other home inspection software may pre-fill commonly used phrases into a static and unsightly report, leaving you to have to go back and write in your professional knowledge. AreaInspector incorporates professional knowledge about common inspection items in construction, plumbing, roofing, etc into a library that can be used to help you write your report as you’re performing your inspection. We’ve gone one step further by incorporating commonly referenced sections from the international builders inspection guide right into the report generation process! You can always be sure you’re going by the book because you have it right in front of you!
When’s your next appointment?
One of the biggest holes in other inspection systems is that you have to keep track of your schedules and customers on your own, or in antiquated spreadsheets. Keeping track of new and current customers, making your schedule work so you don’t have to drive across town in 5 minutes, or keeping track of your fee structures can be a job in itself. Other inspection software companies charge you extra to use their basic schedule systems. We just don’t think that’s right.
